LBA Business Competition 
Winner 2013 
 
Full speed ahead for the Atmosphere Electric Bikes in Bristol as they became a regional winner of The Post backed Local Business Accelerators campaign. The St Georges Rd business is one of three entries on the Bristol shortlist for the contest being run by the Newspaper Society to boost British businesses 
 
Each winner will receive advertising worth £10,000 in the Post and Western Daily Press along with mentoring from two experienced business leaders Debbie Fortune and Mike Bennett 
 
Atmosphere Electric Bikes “ are over the moon that they have been awarded this prize” says Alistair McHardy , the owner. “ We have never entered any form of competition before so not only was this a big surprise but will also be a massive boost for our business and help us get more people electric powered round Bristol” 
 
One will then go on to be entered into the contest to win the national prize, which includes mentoring from Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, the campaign’s national ambassador, another free ad campaign and a host of other prizes 
 
Deborah said: “I would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Local Business Accelerators who should all feel extremely proud to have got this far in the competition” 
 
 
“The first LBA created hundreds of business success stories across the UK and I am confident that we will see hundreds more again this year, as the winners receive the campaign prize of free local newspaper advertising and mentoring”

Supported by the Government and private sector’s Business in You campaign, LBA has seen 500 local newspapers join forces to provide a boost to promising young businesses.
